November 2011 Update

At long last, the muddy red soil of the Caribbean coast is giving way to landscaping showcasing vibrant green grass and peaceful rock gardens with bamboo shrubs.  Over the last few weeks,  giant palm trees have appeared on site and have settled around the common areas as well as down on the beach itself, providing towering shade and soothing motion as they sway in the fresh Caribbean breeze.

Buildings 1 and 2 are nearly complete as of the date of this post. Challenges with contractors and other construction factors still arise frequently and as is usually the case in construction (particularly in this region of the world), each day brings it’s own minor delays that contribute to the constant adjusting of crucial deadlines. Regardless of the relentless challenges faced in this first stage, we continue to forge ahead and are still hoping to be ready to announce a grand opening event in January. For the moment, we are moving into finishing work in the units as well as focusing on the restaurant structure so that it will be ready around the same time as the units themselves. Many key system components including data and communications networks have been installed and are currently being configured and we have just finished the first round of interviews for our staffing needs.

We continue to express our thanks to our clients and everyone else involved for their continued patience as we work through the issues that come up. Our construction, administration, restaurant, and sales teams are working hard on finishing things up and are looking forward to welcoming you to the elegant and exotic travel destination that we have all been waiting for.

See you on the beach!
